Stay In for the Long Haul

If you have been involved in online marketing or any online business for very long, you know you didn't become a success overnight. Making money and turning your business into a success take much time and effort. If you are a newbie to internet business, be prepared to spend many weeks and months, possibly even a year or two, to get where you want to be. It is a very slow process, and involves learning advertising, promotion, patience and perserverance. Work on your business every single day, not for 30 minutes or an hour, but 2 or 3 hours if you have the time. Set goals for yourself, and keep telling yourself you WILL do this! If you set smaller goals, it's easier to meet them and you feel much satisfaction that you accomplished something. As you go along, your goals will grow and become easier to achieve. There is alot of learning and knowledge gathering to becoming a success on the internet - there is an enormous amount of competition. But keep focused, keep working, and you WILL be a success!

Expand Your Horizons!

I have a new business I will be starting in a couple of weeks, and I am so excited! This will actually be my own business, but I will still continue with my other programs, My Power Mall and Entertainment for Less. I have always read online to have multiple streams of income, and not to put all of your eggs in one basket. I believe this is very true, because you never know what will work and what won't. I know the programs I am already in do work because I have made good money with them. I hope my new business does as well as my current programs do! I believe it will. And that is a big part of how well you do in making your work at home dreams come true, believing in yourself and knowing you can do it. I am naming my new business Home Decor and Gifts Galore. I think that is a catchy name, and it describes what I will have available perfectly! If you work online, try expanding your horizons - join 2 or 3 programs, that way you give yourself more options when it comes to your income. And if one thing doesn't work, maybe the other will - you learn from everything you do and experience. Just remember, believe you will, and you will. Believe you won't, and you will be right on that one too.

Good and Bad Times - This Week has been Good!

When you work at home, there are good weeks and bad weeks. This one has been an exceptionally good week, and I love those kinds! If you are just starting out working online, I just want to give you some advice: Be patient, keep on trying and don't lose faith. If you stay focused, keep working each and every day and give it your all, you will do it! I will tell you it definitely will not happen over night, or even in a few weeks. It takes dedication, and it will probably take months before you actually start to feel that you are accomplishing something, and getting closer to your goals of making money from home. This week has been wonderful for me - I have worked hard and gotten many signups in my programs. You do have to work hard, don't believe any of the 'work 30 minutes a day' stuff that you see out there, it just isn't true. You will never have a good income given to you on a silver platter, so if that's what you are looking for, look no further and stop wasting your time. If you are looking for something that is relatively easy, however, My Power Mall is a great program, you can make a good income with a little work, and it's absolutely free to join, never costs you a thing. A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste!

Ever have those days when you just can't stay focused on your home business? Well, today was one of those days for me.

Most days I am very well organized and get alot of work done. Today was one of those days when my mind just didn't seem to want to cooperate, and I spent way too much time just staring blankly at my computer screen, like "What do I do next?". I really hate these kinds of days, it seems that I have wasted so much valuable time that I could have been doing something that would really help my business. But, I guess everyone has those days. I'm just glad they are few and far between!

Well, tomorrow will be a better day, and I will accomplish enough to make up for today. That's the way I look at it, and it helps me keep a positive attitude, which is necessary when you have your own home business. Never lose your can-do attitude, no matter how bad of a day you have!

Me, Myself and I - Can You Work for Yourself?

Do you dream of starting your own home business? Well, why don't you? This isn't a difficult question. You probably have fears about following your dream or you would have done it already. We need to determine the things that are standing in your way and persuade you to let go of your fears and dare to do something different. Usually, what is keeping you from doing what you dream about is fear. Don't worry about your fear, it is a good thing! Fear keeps you grounded, but don't let it keep you from pursuing your dreams.

I have enjoyed working in several different areas during my working outside the home years, from being a hairdresser, to an accountant, to safety coordinator at a trucking company! I believe you learn new things at every different turn in your life. I know I certainly have! I enjoy the opportunity to learn new things, develop new friendships, and expand my horizons. Each new adventure can bring about challenges, problems, new realizations, and an abundance of knowledge!

I have many ideas in mind for working at home that I want to try at some point in time. You must get in touch with your inner creativity, find what interests you and how you want to spend your time. I believe that if you do what you really love, you will find success with that. Use your creativity and imagination, pick what interests you and decide how much time you are willing or able to spend.

When you are trying to work for yourself, there will be issues to worry about. If you are normally a two income family, you must recognize the risk of working for yourself. You may need to work a part time job for a while until you get your business up and running, and are bringing in a comfortable income. This may take a little while, but always keep your goals of working from home in focus.

Use your talents and hobbies to come up with something that you can do to bring in a good income. Thinks of the things that you love doing and enjoy. If you can do these things better than most others, perhaps you can do it for them and save them the time, while you make money!

My passions are candles, skin care and gift items. So I scoured the web, found some companies that were free to join and were marketers of these types of items, built me a website, and put these items on it! Many people create their own products, I just don't have that type of talent. If you do, go for it! Take pictures of your creations, build you a website and put your items on it and go from there.

I the proceeded to find every type of free advertising that I could possibly dream up. I used free classifieds, free safelists, and forums on the internet. I made up my own flyers on my computer and distributed them all over town, at the local college, stores, the tanning salon, everywhere I could possibly leave my flyer. I made invitation cards to hand out to people that I know inviting them to my website! Use your imagination, there are literally hundreds of ways to advertise your business or service at absolutely no cost to you. And realize that one difference between working outside the home and working at your home is you won't have the expenses of gas, eating meals out, and other overhead costs associated with working out in the public.

Put your mind to work and explore all the things that you love to do and enjoy doing. These will work well for you in starting your home business. Don't endeavor to do things you really don't enjoy doing just for the money, if you do you might as well be working for someone else!

Always remember, money isn't the only important part of being self-employed. Your enjoyment in what you are doing is just as big a part of your business! The more you love and enjoy what you are doing, the better and more prosperous your business venture will be!

And you have all heard of people who are talkers, and people who are doers. Alot of people can talk about what they are going to do really well, but if you want to be successful, don't talk, just do it! Be a doer! Take that first step to release your fears, get your ideas together and go with it! You can be successful, if you truly want to. Believe in yourself and put your fears aside.

You must have faith and confidence in yourself to be successful at anything in life, whether it is parenting, your job, your talents, etc. If you let your negative inner instincts take over, you will be a failure in whatever you attempt to accomplish.

Try to think about your negative thoughts and actions, and overcome them. Don't let those negative thoughts take over! Be aware of what is going on, and change your way of thinking to "I CAN do this!". You won't believe the difference in all areas of your life, including your success in a work at home business, if you change your way of thinking into positive actions. Believe in yourself, think positive thoughts and others will see it too. This will have a great impact on the success in your life!

Put positive thoughts and energy into your work and your life. You will reap many rewards!
